Stephen G. Pickett Board Chairman & Founder
Stephen G. Pickett is the Founder and Board Chairman of Human Being Reimagined, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to empowering and supporting at-risk youth in underprivileged communities. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Stephen’s early life was shaped by his mother’s bravery in escaping an abusive marriage and relocating to Los Angeles with her six children. That journey instilled in him a lasting sense of compassion and a commitment to helping others.
From a young age, Stephen showed leadership through community service, organizing efforts within the Jordan Down Projects in Watts to support peers and neighbors in need. With 25 years of Human Resources experience and 15 years in the nonprofit sector, Stephen has worked to uplift marginalized youth across Los Angeles County, the San Francisco shipyards, and within various startup environments.
Stephen holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Ambassador College in Pasadena, CA. His focus is on expanding young people’s access to experiences—ranging from the arts to public speaking—so they can discover their potential and understand that their future has no limits.
Jackie L. Mungo Board Co-Chair
Jackie L. Mungo is Board Co-Chair of Human Being Reimagined, Inc. and a distinguished community advocate with extensive experience in health programs and cancer outreach. As Founder and CEO of The Healing Institute Global Network, she builds nurturing, healing support for people navigating cancer. A former Health Programs Manager for African American Outreach at the American Cancer Society, Jackie helped strengthen survivor support and expand awareness in underserved communities. She also serves on multiple community boards, including the UCSF Faith Initiative and Friends of Faith, and contributes to local advocacy through initiatives such as the African American Task Force of Contra Costa County.
A breast cancer survivor for more than three decades, Jackie’s personal journey fuels her dedication to prevention, early detection, and access to resources. She volunteers and raises funds for the Women’s Cancer Resource Center in Berkeley, providing training, leading support efforts, and facilitating educational outreach, speaking engagements, and survivorship community programs.
Kecia L. Beard Co-Chair
Kecia L. Beard is a dedicated Board Co-Chair of Human Being Reimagined, Inc. , with a visionary approach to empowering individuals to unlock their full potential and create transformative change. Known for recognizing opportunities within organizations and bringing people together, Kecia is deeply committed to nurturing strengths and building supportive environments where youth and communities can thrive.
With more than 40 years of management experience with Los Angeles County , Kecia brings strong expertise in partnering with agencies, families, community leaders, and governing bodies. Her experience gives her the ability to connect stakeholders and develop meaningful collaborations that move the mission forward.
As a parent and grandparent, Kecia’s passion is personal—fueling her dedication to helping create a future where everyone can flourish, grow, and reach their fullest potential.
Wanda Saine Board Treasurer
Wanda Saine is the Board Treasurer of Human Being Reimagined, Inc. , a nonprofit dedicated to nurturing and empowering young lives. Raised in a supportive environment that included family, community, schools, and organizations committed to her future, Wanda is passionate about paying it forward and making a lasting difference for the next generation.
Across her life and career, Wanda has served in roles that allowed her to directly support youth, including babysitting , teacher assistant , and after-school tutor . As a high school student, she also worked as an Assistant to the Neighborhood Youth Corp Administrator , an experience that strengthened her commitment to helping others and building opportunities for young people.
Wanda believes in the potential of every young individual and is dedicated to helping youth develop the character and confidence to thrive—learning important life skills such as patience, tolerance, and adaptability while preparing for a rapidly changing world. Her steadfast devotion to youth empowerment makes her a trusted leader and valued asset to the organization.
Eric Ollison Board Secretary
Eric Ollison is a dedicated community leader and servant at heart, serving as Board Secretary for Human Being Reimagined, Inc. With 39 years of service experience through the United States Postal Service , Eric brings a deep commitment to helping others and making a meaningful impact.
Eric also serves as a deacon at his church , offering spiritual guidance, mentorship, and steady support to his fellow congregants.
Beyond his professional and faith roles, he is actively involved in community service—volunteering, assisting neighbors, and participating in initiatives that uplift others. Through compassion, empathy, and selflessness, Eric’s leadership reflects the mission and values of Human Being Reimagined, Inc.

Ronald James Saine Board Member
Ronald James Saine is an accomplished artist and esteemed Board Member of Human Being Reimagined, Inc. Born and raised in Oakland, California, he developed a passion for drawing early in life. At age thirteen, he earned a scholarship to the Junior Center of Arts and Sciences , beginning his formal journey in the arts.
Ronald later studied Fashion Design at Los Angeles Trade Technical College , then focused on his true calling in drawing, painting, design graphics, illustration, and silk screen through training at West Los Angeles College, Los Angeles City College, and Dominquez Hills University .
In 1985, he released his first published lithograph, “Herbs and Spices,” earning recognition as a well-known published artist . Ronald’s figurative work reflects his dreams, visions, and emotions—bringing to life themes of love, joy, fear, and passion. His vibrant, warm palette captures both the intimacy of close-up portraits and the energy of people in motion, inviting viewers to connect with the beauty and humanity behind each piece.
Deborah D. Moses Board Member
Deborah D. Moses is a Board Member of Human Being Reimagined, Inc. and an Administrative Supervisor for Peri-Operative Services at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center , specializing in Sterile Processing . She advises senior leadership on complex departmental challenges, staffing decisions, and operational strategies that support surgical procedures, patient care, policies, regulations, and financial needs.
Previously, Deborah held leadership roles at Kaiser Permanente and USC University Hospital , and served as an instructor for Central Service Technician certification and Surgical Technologist Anatomy & Physiology. She also has experience with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation , including supervising materials and stores and supporting programs for system-impacted individuals.
Deborah holds certifications and training in surgical technology , Central Service Technician , and conflict management, along with instructional credentials across healthcare and correctional environments.

Ivan Garcia Board Member
Ivan Garcia is a results-driven Board Member of Human Being Reimagined, Inc. and a healthcare executive with a consistent record of success across the healthcare spectrum. He has held leadership roles at top medical institutions including Stanford University Medical Center , UCSF Medical Center , and Kaiser Permanente , with experience spanning both clinical and non-clinical operations.
Ivan currently serves as Administrative Director of Perioperative Services and Corporate Director of Sterile Processing for a leading healthcare system in the San Gabriel Valley , and he has also expanded his impact by building his own business . Known for connecting, motivating, and mentoring teams, he has led multi-million-dollar construction projects , quality and cost-saving initiatives, process redesign efforts, and the implementation of healthcare technology programs—most recently supporting the needs of healthcare workers and communities.
A first-generation Mexican-American , Ivan grew up in East Palo Alto and was raised with values centered on education, resilience, and giving back. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration .
Michael Joseph Beasley Board Member
Michael Joseph Beasley is a dedicated correctional services professional with more than three decades of experience, culminating in his role as Associate Warden with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) . He began his career in 1988 as a Psychometrist at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville and later advanced through key leadership positions, including Correctional Counselor I and II , Facility Captain , and Correctional Administrator . He also served as Acting Chief Deputy Warden at Deuel Vocational Institution (DVI) , strengthening his expertise in all aspects of prison operations and reinforcing his commitment to safety and security.
Since retiring from CDCR, Joseph has continued to serve system-impacted individuals with the same passion and purpose. He supports current and formerly incarcerated people as they transition from incarceration to reintegration , using his knowledge and network of resources to help individuals build healthy, stable, and balanced lives. His advocacy and mentorship reflect a lifelong commitment to empowering others to overcome barriers and thrive beyond the justice system.
