Stephen G. Pickett is the Founder and Board Chairman of HUMAN BEING REIMAGINED, INC. a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting at-risk youth in underprivileged communities. Hailing from Shreveport, LA, Stephen's mother's courageous decision to escape an abusive marriage and move to Los Angeles with her six children, including Stephen, shaped his early life and instilled in him a deep sense of compassion and a commitment to helping others. From a young age, Stephen exhibited a natural inclination towards community service, organizing initiatives within the Jordan Down Projects in Watts to support his peers and neighbors in need.
With 25 years of experience in Human Resources and 15 years in the nonprofit sector, Stephen has utilized his background to uplift marginalized youth in Los Angeles County, the shipyards of San Francisco, and various startup companies. Armed with a BA in Business Administration from Ambassador College in Pasadena, CA, Stephen's passion lies in exposing young individuals to a range of experiences, from the arts to public speaking, to broaden their horizons and demonstrate that the sky's the limit. Through his tireless efforts, Stephen aims to inspire and empower the next generation to realize their full potential and believe in limitless possibilities.
Jackie L. Mungo, Board Co-Chair of HUMAN BEING REIMAGINED, INC., is a distinguished leader and community advocate with a wealth of experience in health programs and cancer outreach. As the Founder and CEO of The Healing Institute Global Network, Jackie's ministry revolves around creating a nurturing and healing environment for individuals diagnosed with cancer. With a background as a former Health Programs Manager for African American Outreach at the American Cancer Society, Jackie has played an instrumental role in supporting cancer survivors and promoting cancer awareness in underserved communities. She also serves as a founding member of the African American Task Force of Contra Costa County and actively participates on the boards of various community outreach organizations, including the UCSF Faith Initiative and Friends of Faith.
Jackie's commitment to cancer advocacy extends beyond her professional roles, as she dedicates her time and fundraising expertise to the Women's Cancer Resource Center in Berkeley, California. Her impactful volunteer training on spirituality's role in survivorship has earned her widespread recognition and invitations to facilitate support groups. His educational odyssey led him to Southern California, where he delved into Fashion Design at Los Angeles Trade Technical College before discovering his true calling in drawing, painting, design graphics, illustration, and silk screen, furthering his craft at institutions such as West Los Angeles College, Los Angeles City College, and Dominquez Hills University. With a focus on the Sterile Processing Department, Deborah is a trusted leader and advisor to the Senior Administrative team, specializing in nurturing and developing the careers of essential workers in healthcare. Her expertise lies in solving complex departmental challenges, leading staffing decisions, and executing operational strategies that impact surgical procedures, patient care, staffing needs, policies, regulations, and financial considerations.

Ivan Garcia, Board Member for HUMAN BEING REIMAGINED, INC. is a result driven healthcare executive with a consistent record of success across the healthcare spectrum. He has served in leadership positions at some of the country’s top medical institution such as, Stanford University Medical Center and UCSF Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente, just to name a few. Ivan has held positions in clinical and non-clinical areas. Over his career his has served in a variety of roles, Director of Operations, Director of Supply Chain, and Cardiovascular Service Line Director. Ivan currently holds the position of Administrative Director of Perioperative Services and Corporate Director of Sterile Processing for a leading healthcare system in the San Gabriel Valley. Ivan’s ability to connect, motivate and mentor individuals has led to his continued success. He has lead multi-million dollar construction projects, quality and cost saving initiatives, process redesign projects, implemented new healthcare technological programs and most recently has been instrumental in helping provide the necessary support for all of our healthcare heroes.
Ivan Garcia is first generation Mexican-America. His parents migrated to the United States in the late 1960’s to provide a better life for their children. His parents always stressed the importance of education and giving back to the community. Ivan grew up in the Northern California city of East Palo Alto , where he learned at an early age how to overcome not only social-economic struggles but cultural and language barriers as well. This allowed him to build a strong moral and compassionate foundation that he lives by every day. Ivan holds a Master Degree in Business Administration.
Michael Joseph Beasley is a dedicated professional with a distinguished career in correctional services, culminating in his role as Associate Warden at the State of California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). With a career that spanned over three decades, Joseph began his journey in 1988 as a Psychometrist at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville, eventually progressing through the ranks to Correctional Counselor I and II, Facility Captain, and Correctional Administrator. His tenure also included serving as acting Chief Deputy Warden at Deuel Vocational Institution (DVI), where he honed his expertise in all aspects of prison operations. Throughout his time with CDCR, Joseph acquired extensive knowledge and experience, exemplifying his dedication to maintaining safety and security within correctional facilities.
Following his retirement from the CDCR, Joseph's commitment to serving system-impacted individuals remains unwavering as he continues to facilitate their transition from incarceration to reintegration into society. Recognized for his passion for aiding both current and former incarcerated individuals, Joseph leverages his vast network of resources to support their journey towards a healthy and balanced life.
